Great news! we can eat real cheese, have a piece of pie with real sugar and cook with whole cream. No more lite mayo, fat-free milk or diet pudding. But, the catch is...eat smaller quantities to limit calories.

Lisa Samuel, a registered dietitian at nourishRDs.com, told our class to eat a variety of real foods. Eat food with lots of color, lots of leafy vegetables, different whole grains, lots of water, herb teas and simple soup are fine but not-so-lots a fats, starches and simple sugar. The latter are OK in smaller quantities.

The trick is to eat smaller portions.

There are ways to fool your brain into thinking you have eaten more and are full. Here is a list of 10 ways to eat smaller portions and turn off those hunger pangs;
